cd luz-lang
python main.py # open the REPL
python main.py file.luz # run a file

VS Code extension¶
A full-featured language extension for VS Code is included in the vscode-luz/ folder:
- Copy
vscode-luz/to~/.vscode/extensions/ - Restart VS Code
Features: syntax highlighting, autocompletion, inline error detection, hover documentation, and snippets.
Optional: build the C lexer¶
For faster tokenisation, compile the C lexer (requires MSYS2 on Windows):
The interpreter automatically uses luz_lexer.dll (Windows) or luz_lexer.so (Linux/macOS) if it is present.
